NOTICE OF CANVASSING BOARD SPECIAL MEETING

Washington County Canvassing Board will hold a special meeting on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:30PM at the Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL.

Purpose of this meeting is to modify the time for the scheduled meeting on Thursday, March 14, 2024 for the canvassing of the vote-by-mail ballots.

DUE TO POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 9TH, 2024 THE ORIENTATION MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. IT HAS BEEN TENATIVELY RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 25, 2024 AT 10:00AM AT THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OFFICE. 

 JANUARY 9, 2024 CANVASSING BOARD ORIENTATION MEETING

The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene at the office of the Supervisor of Elections January 9, 2024 at 10:00am, to discuss Canvassing Board procedures for the 2024 Election Cycle. The Canvassing Board may also discuss other matters relating to the March 19, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary, August 20, 2024 Primary Election and November 5, 2024 General Election.

 

BOOK CLOSING DEADLINE

  • The deadline to register to vote or change your political party affiliation in order to participate in an upcoming election is 29 days before the election. The registration deadlines for 2024 are: Presidential Preference Primary: February 20, 2024  •  Primary Election: July 22, 2024 • General Election: October 7, 2024 If you wish to register to vote or change your political party affiliation, visit RegistertoVoteFlorida.gov. If you have relocated from another Florida county to Washington County or relocated within Washington County change your address with the Supervisor of Elections office as soon as possible.

 

PUBLIC TEST OF VOTE TABULATING EQUIPMENT

On Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM the Washington County Canvassing Board will convene in the Supervisor of Elections office located at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL, to test the ballot tabulation equipment to be used for the March 19, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election. The Canvassing Board may also discuss other matters relating to the August 20, 2024 Primary Election and November 5, 2024 General Election. This meeting is open to the public.

 

EARLY VOTING DATES AND TIMES for MARCH 19, 2024 PRESIDENTAIL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION Saturday, March 9, 2024 through Saturday, March 16, 2024 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM (Sunday 9am– 5pm).

The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 8:00 am at the Supervisor of Elections Office at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL 32428 to Canvass Vote-by-Mail Ballots for the Presidential Primary Preference. This meeting is open to the public.

 

CANVASSING BOARD MEETING FOR CANVASSING OF THE REMAINING VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS

The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene on Thursday, March 19, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Supervisor of Elections Office at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL 32428 to Canvass Remaining Vote-by-Mail Ballots for the Presidential Primary Preference. This meeting is open to the public.

 

CANVASSING BOARD MEETING FOR CANVASSING OF THE VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS AND PROVISIONAL BALLOTS

The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene on Thursday, March 22, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Supervisor of Elections Office at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL 32428 to Canvass The Vote-by-Mail Ballots and Provisional Ballots for the Presidential Primary Preference. This meeting is open to the public.

 

POST AUDIT MEETING

The Washington County Canvassing Board will convene at the office of the Supervisor of Elections office located at 1424 Jackson Avenue, Suite C, Chipley, FL on April 1, 2024 at 10:00am, to conduct a manual post audit of the Presidential Preference Primary Election.
